On this page you will find information about the children's sewing lessons.  Let me know when you are ready to start.  I don't post scheduled clases, rather, just like the adult classes, you schedule the class when it's convenient for you.

Classes for 8-11 are $20 each class.
Classes are for 1-1/2 hours.
This includes, fabric, and supplies.
If you have a machine, then please bring it, if not, you may use one of mine.

First Lesson

First day, you will learn how to wind a bobbin and thread your sewing machine.  Then you practice sewing on paper.  This is fun.  It is important to come for this class first in order for you to sucessfully complete your next projects.  You must know how to operate a sewing machine in order to gain the confidence needed to learn how to sew.  You also learn how to feed your fabric through the sewing machine in order to sew a straight line, curved line, pivoting, circles, needle position.  You will be able to identify all the parts of a sewing machine and what they are used for. 

Next Lesson
(Prerequisite:  First Lesson)

Make a pillow case.  In this class you start learning how to read a pattern, measure and cut fabric.  Once you have completed this class you can choose what project to work on for your next class.

Other Projects


You have a choice of what you want to make.  It can be a doll quilt, doll clothes, potholder, pajama bottoms, skirt, elastic waist pant, pillows, book cover.  You decide.  You work at your own pace.  I won't rush you.
