Level I
Ages 12-Adult
This is a 4-week hands on course designed to teach you basic sewing techiques and get you familiar with your machine. You will learn new techniques every session and apply your new skills toward the construction of your apron. You will also learn how to read a pattern and instructions, seam allowances, grading, edgestitching, facings, how to press your fabric, plus hand sewing and much more. This class has 4 sessions, 2-1/2 each for a total of 10hrs. Pattern and notebook are included in fee. Student is responsible for machine and purchase of necessary supplies which will be discussed in the first session.

Level II
Ages 12-Adult
Come back for five more sessions to learn more techniques to add to your notebook and make a kimono style bathrobe. Here you will learn ease, gathering, more seam and hem finishes and hand sewing stitches, pattern alteration, taking measurements. Meets 5 times, 2-1/2 hours each for a total of 12 hours. Pattern is included in fee.

Level III
Ages 12-Adult
For these next five sessions we learn even more techniques and make a set of pajamas to go with your kimono syle bathrobe. Learn french seam, top stitching, inserting a collar, buttons and button holes, elastic waist. Meets 5 times, 2-1/2 hours each for a total of 12 hours. Pattern included.

Level IV
Ages 12-Adult
Beginner Basics is the focus for this class. In three sessions you will learn more basic sewing techniques to add to your notebook. These techniques will enable you to keep sewing on your own. Techniques include casings, different methods of elastic and zipper insertion, sewing with knits, and more. Meets 3 times, 2-1/2 hours each, for a total of 7-1/2 hours.

Beginning Quilt
Ages 12-Adult
In this class you will make an easy quilt that can be used for a wall hanging, lap quilt, baby quilt. The colors you choose will make all the difference. (The above quilt is only one choice). In four to five lessons you will have a completed quilt, not just a pieced top. I walk you through the whole process. You will learn fabric selection, reading a pattern, rotary cutting, seam allowance, pressing, batting, backing, quilting your project, and putting on a binding. When you sign up, we will discuss the other patterns to choose from. Pattern included. You buy fabric, batting, and thread. Classes meet for 2-1/2 hours, five times for a total of 12-1/2 hours.
Class Fee $75
Here's is another choice that's even easier. It's just squares sewn together. It's a great quilt for teens to make.

Open Sewing for experienced sewers customized to fit your needs. Come work on a project of your choice. I will guide you with fitting, pattern alterations, tips and techniques. Must have sewing experience or have completed my 4-level Beginner Sewing course. Please call to let me know you are coming.
